Steven L. King
Steven L. King, born and raised near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for five years in sales and quality positions in industry. Steve had a faith awakening in 1984 and began seminary in 1987, graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1990 with a Masters of Divinity. Soon after, he married his lovely wife, Peggy. Steve pastored two churches in the decade of the ’90s—one in western Illinois and the other in East Texas. When Peggy was offered her dream job, they moved back to Illinois and did a role reversal. For the past 12 years Steve has primarily been an “at-home” dad for their two children. One of Steve’s hobbies is the Martial Art of Kung fu, in which he is a black belt and an instructor. Steve practices as a certified life coach, helping people learn how to no longer carry emotionally what they absolutely don’t need. “I see people every day who are needlessly burdened. My deep desire is that they and the next generation following them could learn, through this book, some simple methods to unload negative emotional weight and replace it with positive emotional resolve.” Steve, Peggy, and their children live in Illinois.
